The Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority (OYRLEA), working with security operatives, has impounded 20 cows in two enforcement operations in Ibadan over alleged open grazing, residential cattle rearing and destruction of farm crops.

Nine cows were seized on September 30 at Batake Village along the Ibadan-Eruwa Road following a complaint from Adewolu Farms, while another 11 were impounded on October 1 at Idi-Iroko, Moniya.

OYRLEA said the operations were carried out under the Oyo State Open Rearing and Grazing Regulation Law, 2019, to protect farmers, residents and lawful economic activities. The authority urged residents and farmers to report suspected violations and pledged to continue enforcing the law.
